Villa Playa Tayrona

Villa Playa Tayrona sits where the Río Piedra runs into the Caribbean, in Los Naranjos, two kilometres from the main entrance to Tayrona National Park and thirty from Santa Marta. You arrive on foot, along a garden road through Finca Barlovento, among tropical trees, butterflies and the occasional monkey. There are six suites of about forty-five square metres, each sleeping three: a king or a queen bed with a single, a private bathroom, air conditioning, hot water and ceiling fans. That means eighteen guests and no one stuck in a lesser room. The Suite Deluxe rooms have private terraces of their own. Under the thatched roofs you'll find a dining room looking out at the river and the sea, a living room hung with hammocks, and a pool, and the beach is a five-minute walk away. Breakfast is included. This is a house for people who came for Tayrona and would rather not leave it at night.
