Casa Bambú sits on Finca Barlovento in Los Naranjos, between the beach and the river, three kilometres from the main entrance to Tayrona National Park and thirty from Santa Marta. You come in along a wooden boardwalk through the bamboo, and the gardens carry on from there. There are ten bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Eight are suite cabins of about thirty-two square metres under thatched roofs, each with a junior king bed, air conditioning and hot water. The other two are villas with a private pool: a hundred square metres inside, ninety of terrace, a king bed, a lounge, a minibar and a coffee station. Between them there is a main pool with sun loungers, a restaurant and a dining room, and Wi-Fi throughout. It is close enough to Tayrona to be there first thing in the morning, and far enough away that the evenings stay quiet.
